Wisebird @ 2006 Desert Rocks
Howdy folks, so I guess you're all wondering "hoo" is this band Wisebird, and why they get such generous support from the D-Rocks crew? Well, it just so happens they've been a key part of the festival since it's very conception in July, 2005. In the festival's first year of the festival the two founding members of the band Will Webster and Dave Meservy were hard at work in a project called Hoodroo Pone. After bringing the festival to life through their awe inspiring musicianship, Will and Dave began playing with some of the finest musicians in the state. By the 2006 Desert Rocks Hoodroo Pone had transformed first to "The Owls" and then finally into Wisebird. The band would go on to headline the 2006 and 2007 Desert Rocks while at the same time gaining momentum through their Rocky Mountain tours. Today the band the band features Trevor Nealon on keys, Tyler Lambourne on bass guitar, Will Webster on lead guitar, and Dave Meservy on the drums. This extremely talented lineup will be hitting the road this April for their first University tour as they are the official "On Tour Band" of the Human Rights Awareness Tour.
